A few inspirational women

Although our countries are allied in so many ways, we often lose track of what's new on the other side of the pond. I've written a little bit about two eco-fashion activists that are big news here in England, just to fill you in and give you some holiday reading :)
Who are your favourite eco-designers or activists?

-------------------------------------

Livia Firth

Livia Firth is fabulous for many reasons; she's made several famous political documentaries, she's super gorgeous, she's married to Colin Firth, and of course, she's an eco-fashion activist.

Her company, Eco-Age is a pioneering business based in London which aims to help women lead a greener lifestyle, in style. She also runs the Green Carpet Challenge, where she gets celebrities to walk the red carpet in dresses made sustainably, or with other ethical credentials. Her recent successes include Meryl Streep and HRH Mette Marit of Norway.

Amisha Ghadiali

Amisha not only has her own eco-jewellery range, but she is also one of the top eco-fashion activists in the UK. She regularly hosts events in London, and recently shaved her beautiful hair off to raise awareness and money for Womankind Worldwide.

She has produced several memos and helpful guides to living more sustainably  and even gives advice on how you can get involved yourself through her 'Think, Act, Vote' campaign.
